The most expensive safe in the world is a project signed by the name of Karl Lagerfeld, model Döttling Narcissus. It costs about 336 thousand dollars. The safe is not very big (admittedly, it is as high as 1.8 m, but only 30 cm deep). It is intended primarily to store valuables, jewellery, cameras and watches (it has several watch winders). Only 30 copies of this device have been produced, with one obviously belonging to its designer.
The world's most secret safe
This is definitely the Granite Mountain Records Vault located in the state of Utah. It belongs to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the largest branch of the Mormon Church. The vault is said to hold documents and microfilms (over 3 million) on Mormon families and their family trees. Another 40,000 microfilms are stored in the safe each year. However, to what extent the contents of the safe actually correspond to what believers claim remains a mystery. The fact is that the microfilms also contain information on other people, and the devotees are happy to make the collection available, allowing people from all over the world to trace their family trees. The library, which runs alongside the vault, is staffed by volunteers who serve visitors in more than 30 languages. Work is also currently underway to digitise the collections.
The world's largest safe
It is definitely the Federal Reserve Bank in New York. It stores over half a million gold bars with a total weight of 6350 tonnes (and also several thousand tonnes of gold in coins). The safe is located below sea (and street) level. To ensure the safety of the gold, in addition to numerous alarm systems, it is always necessary to move around the vault area in threes. Even to change a light bulb. You can visit the vault (actually a part of it) for free during your stay in New York.

The safe with the strangest contents
This is most likely The Svalbard Global Seed Vault hidden in a glacier on Spitsbergen. More than 770,000 seeds of various plant species are stored in it. The vault is hidden 998 km from the North Pole and surrounded by the ocean (it is also guarded by several thousand polar bears). It can survive multiple earthquakes and a nuclear attack, and thanks to its location 131 metres above the ocean level, it is also insensitive to tides and rising water levels. Thanks to this safe, our plants will survive any cataclysmic event (and even when we ourselves fail to do so).
The largest office in a safe
By far the most secure office that is impossible to break into is Cheyenne Mountain, a US Army base. Its entrance is guarded by 25-tonne doors, which can withstand an explosion of 30 megatons. The offices are located in the interior of the mountain (some 600 metres deep). Definitely not a good place to work for people with claustrophobia.
