This piece of equipment is extremely useful in various places, including car showrooms and diagnostic workshops. It allows protecting not only vehicle keys against theft or destruction. It also provides solid protection for documents, cash or valuable specialist tools.
10, 200, 300 and sometimes even 500 – that is how many key hooks are in different safes. This results, among other things, from the characteristics of individual solutions. On the market there are models prepared only for keys, but also multifunctional ones. The latter provide additional space. As a standard, it has the form of an open box and is located in the lower part. In many cases it is of binder height (350 mm), which allows for storing e.g. documents, cash or valuable tools.
This option is ideally suited to the needs of many entities associated with the automotive industry, including car dealerships and repair shops. This type of protection is also useful for forwarding, logistic and transport companies, vehicle rental companies and petrol stations. They are also suitable for sports facilities and places related to the provision, administration and management of real estate.
Hooks under control
Key safes come in different sizes. The smallest are 30 cm high or slightly more and weigh about 12 kg. The interior has a key slot as standard, along with a lock to prevent keys from being removed. The key hook attachment is a strip that can be freely moved vertically. Larger models also have this solution, but not all bars have to have the same number of hooks (e.g. 3 by 7 and 3 by 8). This difference results, for example, from the different sizes of the side and rear walls.
Multifunction safes, on the other hand, offer far more options. Manufacturers allow the hooks to be adjusted not only horizontally, but also vertically. They are usually located both on the rear and side walls and on the inside of the door. Customers who need an individually adjustable, special hook system will not be disappointed. These can be e.g. 40 mm long.
Multifunction safes are the optimum solution for companies that want to manage and administer keys efficiently. The process of issuing keys to customers or employees becomes more efficient, and nerve-wracking searches become a thing of the past. At the same time, the risk of theft or damage is reduced, which is confirmed by certification bodies.

Key cabinets
Key cabinets are nothing more than key lockers equipped with a computer and additional elements for automatic and secure key management. These devices can also be incorporated into safes and allow tracking of where the key is at any given moment or who retrieved it and when. They are particularly useful in large car dealerships, where they allow salespeople to very quickly find the keys to one of several hundred cars, but also allow test drives to be scheduled. The administrator can limit the time the keys are used and use alerts in case the key/pilot is not returned to the car. The solution is also widely used in other facilities – wherever there are traditional keys.
