When you buy a safe, you want it to be reliable, robust and to protect the contents deposited in it, for example against burglars. But what happens if we forget the code to the safe, lose the key or the safe is impossible to open due to damage? In such a situation a professional safe service comes to our aid, thanks to which we can quickly and effectively access valuable items.

First aid for the safe

Drilling with sledgehammers or even a dynamite explosion – such ways of opening a safe are presented in action movie scenes. However, to open a safe to which you do not have a code or key, you do not need to use spectacular means. Attempts to open complicated locks on your own do not bring the expected results, and may even lead to serious damage. So if you can't open the locker, you should use a professional safe deposit box service. Sometimes such a service is also useful if the container is damaged, e.g. after an attempted burglary, or if we cannot open it because we inherited the contents.

Safe service – only from the manufacturer

A certified safe should always be serviced by the manufacturer in order to ensure that the guarantee is maintained and that the safe will continue to fulfil its purpose after the guarantee expires. The emergency opening of a safe at the locksmith's or with cottage industry methods can even lead to serious defects, which will entail further expenses in the form of the purchase of a new model. Furthermore, for your own safety, you should not share the knowledge of your safe with random, hastily found locksmiths.

What should we do if we cannot open the safe?

Not every problem with opening a safe is a fault. Sometimes the reasons for such a situation are mundane. For example, in the case of electronic locks, a depleted battery is a common cause of trouble. If you want to open a safe equipped with this type of lock, you should first check the state of the battery and if it is empty, replace it following the instructions. When the problem concerns mechanical combination locks, pay attention to the precision of code entry and the correct order of rotation of the lock knob. Mechanical combination locks require a high degree of precision when entering the code. Once you have exhausted these options, you need to contact the safe manufacturer's service department, who will open the safe in an emergency and repair it.

Damaged safe – what to do?

You should also have your safe serviced if the container is damaged, for example by an attempted break-in. Sometimes the damage can be caused by fire or flooding in the room where the safe was located. In such cases, the service will open the container, but it can also dispose of it at the client's request, and it is possible to rent a replacement safe for the duration of the purchase of a new one. Please note that a damaged safe which has survived a burglary or fire is not suitable for further use, as its construction is already weakened and does not guarantee the same level of security as a new device.
