Vaults

Vaults provide reliable protection wherever the capacity of a safe is too small. They can store large amounts of cash deposits, precious metals, raw materials or finished jewellery, especially valuable and large items.

The HARTMANN TRESORE vault is designed from the ground up as a cast-iron vault or built in a modular construction. The height, width and depth are freely selectable, as are the door and locking system; optionally, the vault can be adapted to accommodate an alarm system.

Modular vaults – advantages

Easy to construct: thanks to the modular construction, assembly of the room is quick.

Also suitable for use on upper floors: Modular vaults can be installed on any floor, as long as the structural requirements for floor load-bearing capacity are met. They can be integrated into new buildings or existing rooms during refurbishment.

Extendible
: The modular vault space can be expanded with new components or dismantled and set up elsewhere.

Fits in with the room
: The low panel thickness enables optimum use to be made of all available space.

Lightweight construction
: the panels are manufactured from particularly light but very robust special compounds.

Individual configuration
: room size, door and lock class and optional equipment can be freely selected.

Modular construction – flexibility

  • The modular vault can be adapted to the existing spatial conditions thanks to its modular construction – the system is compact and therefore quite lightweight.
  • The walls consist of individual panels, which are dismantled and can be built up again at a new location. If necessary, the vault room can also be extended with further modules.
  • HARTMANN vault rooms and doors are characterised by proven, certified burglary protection in accordance with European standard EN 1143-1. They are available in various security classes.

Design

Before the vault is built, a specification of the objectives to be met by the room must be prepared. The most important of these are:

• the anticipated maximum amount of insurance for the stored contents,
• burglary safety class of the room,
external dimensions and any restrictions related to installation (e.g. installations),
burglar resistance class of the door,
 the method of locking,
use of a daylight grille (passage blocking),
optional equipment: Ventilation system or ventilation system, pre-drilled holes for the routing of alarm cables, alarm components.

Once the planning phase and all the details have been agreed and the final specification confirmed, we can proceed with the production of the vault.

Door for the strongroom

HARTMANN TRESORE strongrooms are protected by strongroom doors that are available in various sizes and resistance grades from 0–IX. You can choose whether you would like a door with the same or higher resistance grade than the strongroom itself. there is also a choice whether you would like the door hinges to be on the left or right, the locking system and, upon request, whether you would like a daytime grating as a barrier system.

Vault doors, otherwise known as armoured doors, are a good alternative for companies, offices, firms or individuals wishing to protect large quantities of valuables from unauthorised access. The installation of vault doors should be considered as early as during the construction or conversion phase of a building if burglar-proof safes, filing cabinets or wall safes do not offer sufficient space.

The strongroom doors are multi-walled with a special filling and also boast a high-security locking system complete with nickel-plated bolts. What’s more, the strongroom doors can also be fitted with components for connecting them to an existing or future burglar alarm system on request. Linking up with an alarm system has the effect of increasing the permissible limits of the stored values and thus the insurance sums.

Tailored security class
We offer vaults and armoured doors in various sizes and security classes, from S2 in accordance with EN 14450 to III in accordance with EN 1143-1 (higher security classes are also available). If the dimensions of our armoured doors are not to your liking, we will be happy to prepare an attractive offer in line with your requirements.
Universal use
The modular vault can be placed on the upper floor of a building provided that the static requirements for the load-bearing capacity of the floor (kg/m2) are met. It is possible to design the vault in a new building or incorporate it into an existing room during refurbishment.

Locking systems – a wide choice

You can equip a vault or armoured door with various locking systems: Choose between a high-security key lock, a mechanical combination lock, an electronic lock or the first independent, VdS-approved biometric locking system with a fingerprint reader.

A combination of two locks, e.g. a key and an electronic lock, is also possible. For all locks we offer a wide range of handles and fittings.

We would be happy to advise you on the best locking technology for your needs.

Assembly – how is a vault room built?

Construction of a modular vault

The vault room is supplied and fitted by trained technicians. The individual components of the system are assembled using the dry method, and can also be welded together to form a highly burglary-resistant construction with burglar-resistant vault doors permanently fitted in the frame.

Execution of the casting vault

The production process is subject to strict controls by our experienced safety experts – all reinforcement elements and the concrete mix must meet stringent quality standards. All building permits and constant supervision by a construction inspector is essential.
