Jewellery with precious stones, gold or silver, can not only be a status symbol, but also a valuable investment. We are of course talking about jewellery, which Poles are buying more and more of [1]. Its value often reaches exorbitant sums, so in this case it is particularly worth taking care of the safety of storage.
A dressing table is not enough
According to many experts, gold is one of the safest forms of investment. It resists financial crises, inflation and fluctuating exchange rates. Similarly to precious stones, it rarely experiences large price drops. It also often has a high sentimental value if it is an heirloom or historical piece. Such valuables are sometimes stored in ordinary caskets, which is a big mistake. This can result in the loss of a large part of the property during a burglary, which usually only takes a few minutes. Therefore, valuable jewellery should always be stored in a safe and its type should be adapted to the planned content.
A discreet furniture safe
A furniture safe will protect your jewellery from the unwanted gaze of repair crews, home helpers or guests. If you want to store necklaces, rings or bracelets, all you need is a small model that can be easily hidden in furniture such as a built-in wardrobe. In this case the most frequently selected burglary protection class is S1 or S2. Advanced locking systems prevent the safe from being opened by unauthorised persons, and additional protection, e.g. in the form of time protection, additionally blocks the device if someone unauthorised enters the wrong PIN several times.
A safe as a design box
However, a safe does not have to be a box hidden in a cupboard. If you particularly want design and aesthetics at the highest level to blend in with the character of your interior, you can opt for an exclusive safe from the "Signature Safes by Hartmann" range. These are models designed and manufactured according to individual customer requirements. They are also available as finished pieces in limited numbers.
Minimalism or pink madness?
These types of safes can be successfully matched to the owner's style. This applies to both the type and colour of the case and the interior. Minimalist models are available, e.g. in black or white lacquer, as well as in intense red or delicate pink. Fittings, hinges and bolts can be decorated. The centre is usually made of exotic wood or noble material such as velvet. Illumination in the form of LED light is an additional convenience. Drawers and shelves can also be freely composed. Security is guaranteed by protection classes and advanced electronic locks (see article: Which lock to choose for safes). It is worth remembering that valuable jewellery hidden in a safe is not only protected against theft, but also against external factors and potential loss.
