In banks, you have to pay from several hundred zlotys per year for renting a safe deposit box. In deposit companies, it is usually more expensive, with the cost of the service starting at PLN 100 per month.
If a bank offers such a service, it is only at selected branches. The boxes can only be used on days and during hours when a given branch provides customer service. In the case of deposit companies, there is an option to visit, for example, on Saturday. However, this has to be arranged in advance and you have to be prepared for the additional expense.
Is it worth choosing a bank or a deposit company? Everyone should carefully analyse their own situation and especially their own needs. Buying a safe means spending at least several hundred zlotys. However, it will probably turn out to be a better option than a long-term rental.
