The electronic lock is opened with an alphanumeric code, usually consisting of 4 to 8 characters. Convenience of use combined with ease of operation and a high level of security make it the solution of choice. Electronic locks optionally have additional functions such as multi-user operation, time delay of opening or audit of performed operations.
Advantages
  • ease and convenience of use,
  • high degree of security
    ,
  • no need to carry a key,
  • codes can usually be programmed for more than one user,
  • it is easy to change the code if necessary,
  • allows you to manage the time it takes to open the safe from the moment the code is entered
Disadvantages
  • the need to replace the battery,
  • risk of the code being suspected by an unauthorised person or the user forgetting the code,
  • possibility of damaging the keypad
For whom is this lock suitable?
Choose if:
  • you don't like carrying keys, and you don't mind having to remember another alphanumeric code,
  • you will easily master the procedure of changing the code,
  • above all, you value convenience and are willing to pay a little extra,
  • the safe will be opened frequently,
  • you need additional lock functions, such as a time delay for opening or a readout of operations performed,
  • you want more people to have access to the safe and you need to know who opened the safe and when
Avoid if:
  • you happen to forget the PIN to your payment card or smartphone or you think you have too many PINs to remember,
  • you find it difficult to use electronics

HARTMANN armoured doors – the best protection for many valuables
Armoured doors, also known as vault doors, are a good alternative for companies, offices or individuals wishing to protect large quantities of valuables from unauthorised access. Vault doors should be considered as early as during the construction, conversion or renovation phase, if burglary resistant safes, filing cabinets or wall safes do not offer sufficient space.

Important files and documents, large collections, personal data, or weapons and ammunition - where normal safes are not enough, vault rooms with suitably tested armoured doors are a safe and convenient solution.
