A safe is often associated with a metal locker for valuables. In practice, there are so many safe models available that money can be deposited in them, as well as weapons, medicines, works of art or even lottery tickets. Their appearance, interior and also the type of casing can be adapted to your own requirements. We take a look at specialist safes which meet even the most unusual and demanding requirements.
1. Specialist safes – acrylic and wood-clad
Individual safe models can differ from each other not only in terms of security class and function, but also in terms of appearance. A series of specialist safes has been created for special tasks, among which you will find, for example, acrylic models. This type of solid container is used to present exclusive products or to hold lotteries and competitions. This is because its casing is transparent and the interior is protected with a combination lock. A specialised safe can also be encased in wood, which gives it an elegant character. Safes with a wooden casing are often chosen for offices and flats because of their aesthetic appearance.
2. A made-to-measure safe
It is also possible to manufacture a specialised safe to the customer's specifications on an individual basis. Such safes meet the owner's requirements one hundred per cent and can be a decorative element of the interior design. You can choose from a variety of materials for interior finishing, types of equipment, as well as casing decorations. The safe can be covered with your own painting, for example, or it can be decorated with a HD print of any motif.
3. A wall safe
If, on the other hand, the safe is to be effectively camouflaged and invisible to outsiders, it can be concealed in the wall. The wall safe is placed in a special recess in the construction of the building envelope. In order to be able to install such a safe, suitably strong ceilings and thick walls are required. This involves construction or major renovation work, so this solution should be chosen at the construction stage of the house. Wall safes, however, are extremely effective burglary protection, because not only are they difficult to detect by a burglar, but it is also impossible to break them open by quickly and quietly outsiders.
We have writen more about this kind of safes, e.g. in the article: The wall safe – everything you need to know about it.
4. Floor safe
Floor models are just as effective. Analogous to wall safes, they are built in and surrounded by a concrete shell, but in the ground. Importantly, floor safes do not have to be exclusively large lockers for valuables of considerable size. In fact, among floor safes you can even find small safes for storing important keys or cash reserves, for example.
5. Vault safes – large-calibre specialist safes
Safe rooms with armoured doors are the right choice where the highest calibre of security is needed. They are also known as vaults because their interiors can hold both cash and valuable items such as exclusive materials, works of art or weapons. In some institutions, they can also be used as a secure archive or for storing medicines and chemicals. Hartmann Tresore safes are modular, so you can plan any size you want. The deposited contents are protected by high-security armoured doors that can be connected to an alarm system. You can also choose from a variety of locking systems, including key locks, mechanical locks with a code lock, electronic locks and biometric locks with a fingerprint reader. Vault rooms may also be additionally equipped with a ventilation system and ducts leading to it. Furthermore, vaults can be equipped with an anti-burglary alarm system and seismic sensors.
